Step by step Skull Shining Breath

1st step

4th step

  1. I’m very interested in practicing this technique, but I find the steps confusing.

    For step 2, are you contracting your belly and pushing your air up away from the abdomen in PREPARATION for exhaling? Then the gentle and slow exhalation is step 3?

    And in step 5 it is said that contractions can be increased up to 30 contractions per minute. Is it one contraction for every completed breath (exhale), or are you saying we can do multiple contractions in an exhalation?

    • The best time for Kapalabhati is morning because Kapalabhati must be practiced when you did not eat anything. If you have eaten something then wait for 2-3 hours then you can practice this kriya.
