We are happy to book taxis for you to meet you at airports and bring you to Rishikesh. The Ashram where the training takes place is reserved for Yoga Vini students only and there is security on the gate 24/7
The diet on our course consists of 2 meals per day made up of traditional Indian style vegetables, rice, chapattis, and salads. All food is prepared in a hygienic environment and is cooked fresh before each meal. Salads are washed with filtered water and filtered water is available for drinking.
We have a boutique open daily for any essential items such as shampoo, conditioner, soap, water, toilet tissue, water, dry fruits and many other essentials.
Course deposit and balance fees are payable by PayPal or bank transfer into either Japanese or Indian bank accounts. The balance of the course fee must be payable on arrival to the Ashram by either PayPal, bank transfer of cash. You will need Indian Rupees to pay for taxis and purchases in the boutique and shops in Rishikesh.
The weather in Rishikesh at the time of the Teachers Training Course will be quite warm with early mornings and evenings being cooler. It is recommended to bring long sleeves for mornings and evenings.
No, you are required to wash your own clothes during the break times in your room by hand. Washing detergent is available for purchase in our boutique.
Mosquitoes come out in the early mornings and early evenings. The area is relatively safe in terms diseases from mosquitoes and has is low-risk for malaria. You may bring insect repellent with you however we sell Indian insect repellent in our boutique which is very effective.
Accommodation is based on twin share. There are a limited number of single rooms available for an additional $200 USD.
Most rooms are fitted with western style toilets however some are eastern style. Please let us know if western style toilets are essential for you.
No, the rooms do not have air-conditioning however they are all fitted with ceiling fans.
No, if you require hair dryers you are recommended to bring one with you. You will also need to bring a power adaptor to fit Indian electrical sockets.
No, we stay in basic Ashram style accommodation; you are required to keep your own room clean.
No, there is no safe facility. You may use a padlock to lock your room to keep valuables safe.
All rooms have hot water however most rooms are required to wash via bucket and mug system. There are occasionally power outages in India which will cause hot water not to be available during that time. The outages do not normally last longer than one hour.
Here at Yoga Vini we encourage students to stay focused on the course therefore wifi is limited. Wi-Fi is on daily for a limited time only. In any emergency situation this will obviously not apply.
